Your child will sleep in cabins with about 10 other campers their age. Cabins typically also have 2 counselors who work with the campers: a senior counselor who is usually an adult and a junior counselor who is usually in high school or college.
Campers are divided into teams for sports such as sand volleyball, kickball, and frisbee as well as team building activities. Larger teams also are formed for games such as Capture the Flag and Eagle's Nest. Romans and Christians, a group role-playing game, is played after dark on Thursday night.
Monday through Thursday there are opportunities to swim both in the morning and in the afternoon. A swim test is conducted Sunday night to determine if campers can venture into the deep end or should stay in the shallow end. Beach games, canoes, and kayaks are also available to enjoy during swim time!
Throughout the week campers are given the opportunity to take advantage of unique opportunities such as making a craft and performing in a talent show.
Pastor Nate chooses a theme and prepares Bible studies that are led by different pastors from the area. The studies are interactive, in-depth, & inspirational. Whether your child has a lot of experience with the Christian faith or is just getting started, they'll fit right in!
Sunday through Wednesday the day ends with a classic campfire under the stars. Campers sing & dance along to favorites like "Pharaoh, Pharoah," worship our Creator and close out the night with a devotion.
